Hehe - I made Helga black up before game on, thought I'd made best use of our training last month. Anyway, you'd pay a fortune for that mud at a health farm!

True, but you can't eat chocolate and shoot people at health farms, as far as I know.

Not everyone I spoke to on saturday morning had read the forums, 3 of the allied guys (can't remember names but they were dressed as US airborne and all turned up together in a hired fiesta) told me they had heard about the event at some reenactment thing they had been on. They had no idea of the scenario, ammo limits, or even the site. I remember thinking " you guys are gonna suffer in all of that canvass, weighed down with all of those packs and musette bags when it all gets wet". I was right too, as they were among the "casualties" on the allied side.

I am SO glad I camped in my bright orange Land Rover tent, the one clean, dry haven I found on the site! Not very authentic I admit, but very comfy!

I need to eat up my tin of marinated herrings - will be my lunch! :D

pmsl your face when you contemplated them for breakfast yesterday  mmmmm herrings ewwwww

Here's my new recipe, which I call "Uber Herrings"! Take two slices of buttered toast, heat up a big tin of herrings marinated in a vinegar sauce, and chuck 'em on top! Add black pepper to taste. Voila!

I think his plans consisted of considerably more than 8 zelts, he wants a luxury motel sized tent concealed under them

It's STILL peeing it down with rain where I live. There was a break in the weather earlier and the sun came out. So I popped my tent up so it could dry out before storing it away. Now, it's even wetter than it was at CR!

I know the feeling Helga. I loaded up my tumble dryer yesterday and had to empty the water collector twice before the kit was dried out. The house has been stunk out by my wool tunic and trousers drying out too. I'm NOT Mr popular with the wife!

I've been exerting myself with wet leather today ... and no the sort of exertion i like....

Took me about 30 minutes to get the sling off my mp40 as it had expanded so much...
